Which image hosting website allows you the most control over the pictures you upload?

Flickr is quite a good one. There are lots of image optimisation opportunities there - don’t forge tto name your photos appropriately as well!

Yes. SharedImages is a good free service that gives you full control over your pics.

You can upload multiple images; zip files full of images fo it to extract, etc. - create and manage different types of albums. And it provides you with 4 types of links to share your pics (or not share).
I have used sharedimages for more than a year now. And I definitely recommend them to you. Oh, and they pay you money if your pics are viewed often enough!
